We'll drink to that
Just inside Blessey Hall, a fountain honors Henry F. Rugan. A Google search led to this nugget of nostalgia: “A memorial fountain has been erected in the old engineering building of Tulane University, in honor of Prof. Henry F. Rugan, associate professor of mechanical arts at the University at the time of his death, September 3, 1916. Mr. L. W. Zeller made the presentation speech on behalf of the students, and Prof. W. H. Creighton, dean of the College of Technology of Tulane University, in accepting, praised the research work on the growth of cast iron by Professor Rugan.”
