Francis Ford, a potter in the Newcomb Pottery, creates a vase to be decorated by one of the program’s artists circa 1935. While the artists who created and carved the designs on the famous works from the Newcomb Enterprise were all women, the potters were all men. Ford joined the pottery in 1933 and remained with the program until its termination in 1940.
