Winter Blooms

Camellias are in bloom across the New Orleans area, including these on the uptown campus (in the foreground). The hardy bushes, with their dark green leaves and flowers ranging from red to pink to white, are popular in Crescent City winter gardens. The pink blossoms on the tree in the background, however, aren't the real thing — they were placed by a film crew for a Hollywood movie filming on campus.
