Young and restless

For over 20 years, Tulane University alumnus Christian Le Blanc has played Michael Baldwin on “The Young and the Restless” soap opera, winning the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series three times. Le Blanc, pictured in the striped shirt, with the Tulanians singing group in 1980, was a premed and ancient history major. He landed his first professional acting gig — appearing in a Barq"s Root Beer commercial — after he was “discovered” by a photographer at the University Center swimming pool, once located near the present site of the Tulane University bookstore in the Lavin-Bernick Center.
