Your homecoming what-to-do list
Homecoming weekend at Tulane University is far more than a football game. It"s an opportunity for old friends to get together, new friends to meet and families to reconnect through their common love of the Green Wave.
If you"ve taken a look at the schedule of more than a hundred things to do over the weekend you were likely overwhelmed (and pleased) with the plethora of options. Here"s a peak at a few Insider favorites taking place this year.
Hot topics discussed during the the Town Hall meeting with President Fitts on Friday (Nov. 6) at 10:30 a.m. will be all the buzz around campus. Be there or risk being left out of the conversation.
Good eats:
Attend the Family Weekend Jazz Brunch on Friday (Nov. 6) from noonâ“4 p.m., featuring local cuisine and live bands playing a variety of tunes including traditional jazz and swing jazz music.
The Homecoming Carnival and Concert on Friday (Nov. 6) from 3 p.m.â“9 p.m. is the place where everyone will be. Enjoy carnival rides, food trucks and music by Jon Cleary and the Absolute Monster Gentlemen.
Post game:
The all-alumni after party hosted by Alumni Affairs and the Alumni Association will take place Saturday (Nov. 7) from 9 p.m. until midnight at Tipitina"s. After you"ve tailgated with your own class, attend this party for all alumni for more celebratory fun.
Off campus:
Take advantage of discounted tickets to the Audubon Zoological Gardens. Use the one-day ticket during normal zoo hours, Friday (Nov. 6) 10 a.m.â“4 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m.â“5 p.m.
