Jason Ryans, a fifth-year doctoral student, writes code to create novel computational models of the lung in Professor Don Gaver’s Pulmonary Mechanics Lab in the Department of Biomedical Engineering. The models help researchers better understand the mechanics of lung injury and how to develop better ventilator treatment strategies.
