Three-year-old Maya Siddiqui spends a recent morning cooling off in an Audubon Park fountain inscribed, "Given to the little children of New Orleans.”  Built in the early 1920s, this fountain and another one at City Park were built with funds from a bequest by Sara Lavinia Hyams of her personal jewelry collection, valued at $30,000 in 1914. Hymans made the bequest as a testimonial of her love for New Orleans.
