Tulane faculty invited to wear academic robes, take to streets to support Class of 2020
Jimmy Huck, assistant director for graduate programs at the Stone Center, invites Tulane faculty members to wear their academic regalia, hold signs that show Tulane pride, and stand at New Orleans intersections on Saturday, May 16, to support graduating students. The suggested time frame is noon to 1 p.m., in advance of “TUgether – Connecting the Class of 2020,” which will be live streamed starting at 1:45 p.m. CT that day.
Faculty members can “claim” an intersection in the city and wave to members of Tulane’s Class of 2020, as well as the general public. Participating faculty members can download signs here and use the hashtag #TUgether2020 on social media to announce their location to the Class of 2020.
