Credentials available for Dalai Lama keynote address at Tulane Commencement

What:

Credentialing process for media covering Tulane University Commencement 2013, featuring the Dalai Lama as keynote speaker. Media professionals should send their name, title, the media outlet they represent and the mailing address to which they want their credentials sent to kbrannon@tulane.edu no later than May 10. Tulane will mail media their credentials along with a parking pass for the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.


Who:

In addition to delivering the keynote address, the Dalai Lama will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters. Tulane also will award honorary degrees to U.S. Poet Laureate Natasha Trethewey and legendary New Orleans musicians Allen Toussaint and Dr. John.


When:

9 a.m., Saturday, May 18. The press entrance will open at 7:30 a.m. Since all media equipment must be screened, those wanting to be in place for the beginning of the ceremony should arrive no later than 8:00 a.m.


Where:

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Media parking will be in Garage 6 of the Superdome. Media must enter the Superdome through the media entrance door at the far left, lower level of the garage. After a security check, media will then be taken to seating on the Dome floor.
