Former Tulane Student-Athlete Michael McKeever Joins Board of Tulane

Michael McKeever, who enjoyed a successful career at Lehman Brothers before retiring in 2000 to become the managing partner of Legacy Venture Partners, LLC, has joined the Board of Tulane, the main governing body of Tulane University.

McKeever, who earned a bachelor"s degree in economics and an MBA from Tulane, started as an associate in the Investment Banking division of Lehman Brothers in 1979 and later became co-head of the Investment Banking Division, co-head of the Equity Division and head of the Private Equity Division. He was also chairman of the firm"s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Lehman Brothers, McKeever worked at the First National Bank of Chicago.

McKeever, a former swimmer at Tulane, is a past member of the T-Club, an organization of former Tulane student athletes who support the Green Wave"s athletic programs. He is also a member of Tulane"s President"s Council.

"Mike is a wonderful addition to our board, given his love for Tulane, his wisdom and experience," Tulane President Scott Cowen said. "We look forward to this next chapter in his long association with Tulane."

I am looking forward to help guide it for the benefit of current and future generations of young people," McKeever said.

McKeever is the managing partner of Legacy Venture Partners, LLC, a family investment firm, with interests in publicly traded debt and equity securities, private partnerships and real estate.

McKeever is also on the Board of Directors and head of the Investment Committee for Family Centers, a charity in Connecticut"s Fairfield County.

He lives in Greenwich, Conn., with his wife, Valerie McKeever, and their three children.
