Growing conference shows healthy appetite for culinary medicine
The Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine at Tulane University hosted 240 doctors, nurses, pharmacists, registered dietitians, chefs, nutrition specialists and more at the 5th annual Health Meets Food conference last week in downtown New Orleans.
Attendance doubled compared to last year for the four-day event, which has grown into one of the nation’s leading conferences dedicated to the connection between good health and healthful foods. Goldring Center DIrector of Operations Leah Sarris talks about this year’s conference and how the culinary medicine movement is convincing doctors — and their patients — to think differently about their diets.
