Interior Secretary, BOEMRE Director to Visit Tulane University As Part of Environmental Science Recruiting Tour

WHO: Ken Salazar, secretary of the Interior, and Michael R. Bromwich, director of the U.S. Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE), will visit Tulane University as part of a campaign to recruit students from the nation"s top colleges and universities to join the United States" offshore oil and gas regulatory program.

WHAT: As part of Interior"s efforts to promote safe and balanced development of offshore resources, Salazar and Bromwich are meeting with students regarding careers in public service, including current and new environmental science positions at BOEMRE. Prior to the meeting, they will tour Tulane"s environmental science laboratory facilities.
