Tulane Medical Students "Going Bald" for St. Baldrick"s

WHO: More than 100 Tulane University medical students and volunteers will have their heads shaved as children fighting cancer cheer them on.

WHAT: Media event and fund-raiser for both the St. Baldrick"s Foundation, a national group devoted to helping kids with cancer, and Tulane Hospital for Children.

WHEN: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 18

WHERE: The atrium lobby of Tulane Medical Center, 1415 Tulane Ave.

MORE: Students from Tulane University School of Medicine set a goal to raise more than $55,000 to support the St. Baldrick"s Foundation. So far, the group has surpassed $40,750. The head-shaving festivities will also feature a silent auction and bake sale to raise money to build a Boundless Playground within Tulane Medical Center so that all children seeking treatment at the hospital – even those with disabilities – will have a safe and fun place to play. Guests will enjoy a day of music, food, and fun while stylists and barbers shave volunteers" heads.
