White coats signify start of medical career for Tulane Class of 2022

WATCH: First-year School of Medicine students explain why they chose Tulane University.


The Tulane University School of Medicine welcomed 191 students at its annual White Coat Ceremony. The event signifies the beginning of a career in medicine, when first-year medical students don their white doctor’s coats for the first time. The Class of 2022 is made up of future doctors from around the world, from a former soap opera star to a student who saw the need for better health care in her home country of Nigeria.
