Unified Commencement Ceremony

Tulane University’s Unified Commencement Ceremony honors the graduates from all of the university's schools and colleges. It features the pomp and circumstance expected of a traditional commencement celebration but with a New Orleans twist. At this ceremony you can expect to see the procession of graduates and faculty, the keynote address from a prestigious speaker, the conferral of degrees and hear live jazz.

This upcoming February, the TEDxTU will be hosting its fifth annual TEDx speaking event. Styled similarly to the popular “TED Talks,” this event will be bringing together students, professors, and outside professionals to give powerful talks on variety of topics related to this year's theme: TEDxTU: Next Steps. This year's TEDxTU event wants to challenge students to think critically about their role in understanding, perpetuating, and addressing the pressing issues of today, including issues of climate change, incarceration, sexual assault, immigration, and urban blight, among others.

Tulane Senior Capstone Film Screening

This December six capstone students (Maddie McGee, Jordan Fried, Caroline Keller, Grace Brown, Rachel Varela, and Qing Yu) in the Digital Media Production department at Tulane University will be screening their short films that they have spent the past year writing, directing, filming, and editng. The screening is free and open to the public and will take place at the Prytania Theater on December 13th at 7:30pm. Free popcorn and soft drinks will be provided to all attendees.
