The Tulane Health System now offers a new treatment for prostate cancer called focal therapy, a targeted treatment that destroys areas of cancer in the prostate while sparing the rest of the healthy tissue.

A Studio in the Woods is hosting an artist salon with its newest resident artist, Nick Slie, on Jan. 30 from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Slie is a New Orleans-born performer, producer and cultural organizer, who will work on “Invisible Rivers” while in residence. The project is a series of performances and public walks focused on re-engaging citizens “with the wisdom of adaptation and uncertainty inherent in the once wild paths of the Mississippi River.” The event is free, however RSVP is encouraged.
