Tulane moves to online instruction, cancels large events

President Mike Fitts announced that Tulane will move to online instruction beginning Monday, March 23, through the end of the semester. Friday, March 13, will be the last day of in-person classes. All gatherings, events and activities with more than 50 individuals will be postponed or cancelled immediately.

The New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane University cancels inaugural event

Citing concerns about the coronavirus and adhering to university protocol, the New Orleans Book Festival at Tulane has canceled its inaugural event. Tickets purchased for keynote addresses with authors will be fully refunded within 10 business days.

Researchers identify marker that may predict whether lung cancer likely to spread

Tulane researchers have identified a protein on tumor-derived extracellular vesicles that indicates if a non-small cell lung cancer tumor is likely to metastasize. Tony Hu, Weatherhead Presidential Chair in Biotechnology Innovation at the School of Medicine, is author of the study.
