Tulane has added another opportunity for COVID-19 testing, using a School of Medicine repurposed research lab where test results can be processed within a day. The test is identical to the one being used by the Centers for Disease Control. For now, the test is available only to members of the Tulane medical community who show symptoms of COVID-19.

Researchers at the Tulane Medical Center Laboratory are conducting a new test for COVID-19 that can yield results within four hours. The test, available to patients at Tulane Medical Center (TMC) and University Medical Center, was made possible through the joint efforts of the Tulane School of Medicine, the LSU School of Medicine, TMC, LCMC Health and Roche Diagnostics.
