An opening reception for Tulane’s Special Collections’ new exhibit Captive Voices: Hearing, Seeing and Imagining Angola Prison will be held today from 4 - 6:30 p.m. in the Special Collections second floor gallery in Joseph Merrick Jones Hall (6801 Freret St.). Admission is free. The exhibit uses materials from the Special Collections and Vengeance, written by Zachary Lazar, Tulane professor of English, to reveal hidden aspects of the Louisiana State Penitentiary.
