The former Willow Residences on the uptown campus were officially named The Décou-Labat Residences on Saturday in honor of Deidre Dumas Labat and Reynold T. Décou Sr., the first African American undergraduates to earn degrees from Newcomb and Tulane, respectively. Labat and Décou participated in a public discussion following the ribbon-cutting.
