Tulane Law’s Women’s Prison Project was launched a year ago by Katherine Mattes, professor and director of Tulane’s Criminal Justice Clinic (left), and Becki Kondkar, professor and director of Tulane’s Domestic Violence Clinic (right). The project aims to help incarcerated women jailed for life for killing their abusive partners as well as others accused of crimes while under duress from abusers.
