Faculty members recognized for excellence with university teaching awards


At the end of the spring semester, Tulane University offers university teaching awards to four faculty members — The Suzanne and Stephen Weiss Presidential Fellows Awards for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching and the President’s Award for Excellence in Graduate and Professional Teaching. This year’s recipients are Professors Julie Alvarez (top left), Roxanne Dávila (top right), David Franklin (bottom left), and Mark VanLandingham (bottom right).

Brenda Tate and students from the Class of 2023

After a family tragedy, Miss Brenda's Tulane Law 'kids' step up the love


Students from the Tulane Law Class of 2023 raised money for Brenda Tate, the overnight custodian at the law school’s Weinmann Hall, after they learned of a tragedy that occurred in Tate’s family. The students felt compelled to do something as Tate dubs the students “my kids,” and always provides a listening ear and words of encouragement. Read More

Newcomb Pottery Tour


Newcomb Art Museum will host a guided tour highlighting its permanent collection of Newcomb Pottery and the history of the collection.
