Tulane doctor receives prestigious Shipley Award

Dr. Emad Kandil is the recipient of the 2017 Shipley Award from the Southern Surgical Association. The prestigious society gives the honor as a “distinction of astute surgical scholarship.” Dr. Kandil is only the third Tulane faculty member to receive the award in the 60 years since it was founded.
