The presidential chair was made possible by the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation and Phyllis M. Taylor, who were represented by foundation president Byron LeBlanc at the ceremony, which took place in Freeman Auditorium.

The Roger Thayer Stone Center for Latin American Studies and Newcomb Institute will host author Silvia Moreno-Garcia on Thursday, April 18, at 6:30 p.m. in the Lake Residence Hall theater. Moreno-Garcia, author of several books including Mexican Gothic, Gods of Jade and Shadow, and Velvet Was the Night, will participate in a reading and interview.
