Blue ribbon event
Racers take off during the inaugural NOLA Bluedoo Run/Walk on Saturday evening (Sept. 20) on the Tulane University uptown campus. The event, produced in partnership with the New Orleans Track Club, raised approximately $130,000 for the Prostate Cancer Research Program at Tulane.

A young boy shows the spirit as he fills give-away bags during the event.

The 610 Stompers psych up the crowd during a pre-race performance.
Dr. Oliver Sartor, medical director of the Tulane Cancer Center, greets the local media.
Approximately 600 walkers and runners participated in the blue-themed walk/run competition.
Even the tunes were blue with the music of Walter “Wolfman” Washington and the Roadmasters.
