Classes and normal operations resume Monday
Classes and normal operations resume Monday, Nov. 2. The Uptown, Downtown and Covington campuses – and all facilities on these campuses – have power and are operational.
Classes missed due to closure last Thursday and Friday will be made up next Saturday, Nov. 7, and Sunday, Nov. 8. Students should consult with the instructor for makeup plans for any other missed classes. The School of Medicine will issue a separate message regarding their operational plans. Everyone should return to classes and work today. If you are still impacted by a power outage, there are spaces on campus (listed below) to access power, Wi-Fi and to join meetings/classes via Zoom. If you cannot return, please communicate directly with your instructor or supervisor about your circumstances.
All off-campus students, faculty and staff are welcome to come to campus to charge devices, access Wi-Fi and get food. All dining services are fully operational. For more information about dining, see diningservices.tulane.edu.
Campus areas currently open include: the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life (including food court), the Commons, Reily Student Recreation Center, Howard-Tilton Memorial Library (entrance on Freret Street), PJ’s Coffee (Willow and Stern), Marshall Family Commons (Business School), the Dining Pavilion and the Green Wave Grille. The temporary structures on Monroe Quad, Berger Family Lawn and Newcomb Quad have access to Wi-Fi and are open for use.
Please continue to look for email updates, which will also be posted online at tulane.edu/emergency. You can also stay updated with NOLA Ready emergency alerts.
