Early artists in the Newcomb College Pottery program Hattie Joor, Mary Richardson, Esther Elliot, Charlotte Payne, Effie Shepard, Mazie Ryan and Mary Butler work in the studio on the old Washington Avenue campus, circa 1905. This image appeared in a full page ad in the 1906 version of the Jambalaya yearbook advertising the works of art for sale.
