Fall Welcome app offers seamless start to semester
On Move-In Day (Aug. 25) new and returning Tulane students will converge on the uptown campus to kick off the new academic year. Whether navigating campus for the first time or simply searching for a way to organize a class schedule, the 2017 Tulane University Fall Welcome app offers users the essential resources needed to ensure a smooth start this semester.
Brad Romig, director of new student and leadership programs, says that the tool will be available to download from the App Store, for Apple devices, and Google Play, for Android devices, beginning Tuesday, Aug. 15.
“This is the second year that we are using an app as opposed to a printed schedule for all new students,” said Romig.
Using the app, students can keep their class schedules at their fingertips while easily tracking important programs and events hosted during Fall Welcome weekend. Users can add events that they want to attend to their calendar and receive reminder notifications when those events start.
The Fall Welcome app also offers additional resources, including a convenient campus map, a list of emergency contact numbers and the university’s latest social media updates.
