BestCollegesOnline.com invites the academic community to vote for McLennan in the final round. The prof who gets the most votes receives a check for $1,000 and a “2012 Online College Professor of the Year” badge/banner to place on his or her professional or personal website.

McLennan was a finalist in the U.S. Army's 2012 Federal Virtual World Challenge competition for her Prisoners' Dilemma Layered Simulation Prototype. Prisoners' Dilemma came in third place in the worldwide competition in the Engaging Learning–Concepts category.

The explosive growth of online education is creating opportunities for educators to engage students in new ways. According to one survey in 2011, nearly one-third of college students are taking at least one online course.

Do you agree that McLennan exemplifies the forward-thinking academic strategies that help online students succeed? If you do, vote before midnight on Wednesday (April 25). Voting is open to everyone, but will be limited to one submission per computer address.
