The Tulane University Marching Band plays as students enter McAlister Auditorium. Deans and senior administrators converse as they wait in the robing room for the ceremony to begin. Dr. Michael White and the Original Liberty Jazz Band start the ceremony with a soulful dirge as they process into the auditorium. Michael Fitts, the 15th President of Tulane University, addresses the Class of 2022. Green Envy, Tulane’s oldest a cappella group, leads the students in singing the Tulane alma mater. President Fitts gives out high-fives to students as they head to their next orientation class.
