Outreach Tulane is a student-run tradition of service to New Orleans
Last week Tulane students took part in a decades-old tradition of service: Outreach Tulane. This day of helping out in the New Orleans community, the university’s largest student-run day of service, is now in its 33rd year. Students gathered on Saturday, Aug. 26, and fanned out to locations across New Orleans to perform service projects with Tulane’s partner organizations, such as the Center for Sustainable Engagement and Development and New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
The event is put on annually by the Community Action Council of Tulane University Students and the Center for Public Service.
