Professor’s work a One Book, One New Orleans finalist

Author and associate professor of music in the Tulane School of Liberal Arts, Matt Sakakeeny, is up for the honor of having his book Roll With It: Brass Bands in the Streets of New Orleans, named the One Book One New Orleans 2018 Book of the Year. Watch him talk about the process of writing about the city's rich musical heritage in the video below. The deadline to cast a vote is Saturday, Jan. 22.  Click here to vote.
