Steve Gleason shares life lessons with young athletes
Attitude, leadership and discipline were the skills driven home during the Gleason Life Skills Baseball Clinic put on by Tulane University alumnus Steve Gleason and his team of coaches this weekend on Greer Field at Turchin Stadium.
The three-day Gleason Life Skills Baseball Clinic included training for baseball skills on the field along with life skills beneficial off the field.
During the clinic, which ran Friday, Sept. 29, through Sunday, Oct. 1, participants learned to encourage their teammates by using poise and perseverance.
“Leaders make themselves better by making other people better,” said Gleason to the more the 50 boys ages 9-14 in attendance.
