Super Bowl Raffle Kicks Off Fundraiser

A Super Bowl ticket raffle is officially under way as an exciting buildup to the 9th annual Helluva Hullabaloo Auction and Party to benefit Tulane student-athletes that is scheduled for Oct. 8 at the Lavin-Bernick Center on the Tulane uptown campus.

The raffle winner will get two tickets to attend Super Bowl XLV at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on Feb. 6, 2011.

The drawing for the tickets will be held at the Tulane Green Wave homecoming football game on Saturday, Oct. 9, against the Army Black Knights at the Louisiana Superdome, though the winner is not required to be present. Tickets for the raffle are available online now for $20 each, or six for $100.

The Helluva Hullabaloo event includes live and silent auctions and features items including opportunities to meet and spend time with celebrities (such as Ryan Seacrest with the newest American Idol, for example); vacation stays in choice locations such as Aspen, Colo., New York and Las Vegas; and sports memorabilia from professional football, baseball, basketball and soccer teams. An online auction hosted by Charitybuzz will run from Oct. 5 to Oct. 25.
