Tulane honors Investitures in School of Science and Engineering
At the School of Science and Engineering Investitures Ceremony, held Nov. 13 at Kendall Cram Lecture Hall, inaugural holders of an endowed chair and endowed professorship received recognition, along with newly appointed holders of existing endowed chairs and professorships.
Ehab A. Meselhe, professor and chair of the Department of River and Coastal Engineering, was invested as the inaugural Charlotte Beyer Hubbell Chair in River-Coastal Science and Engineering.
J. Quincy Brown, professor of biomedical engineering and a member of Tulane Cancer Center's Translational Oncology Research Program, was invested as the inaugural Mark and Diana Tipton Endowed Professor in the School of Science and Engineering.
The ceremony also invested a number of faculty into established endowed chairs and professorships:

- Daniel Howsmon, Robert and Gayle Longmire Early Career Professorship in Chemical Engineering
- Samuel Punshon-Smith, Paul H. and Donna D. Flower Early Career Professorship
- Anoop Rajappan, Janes M. MacLaren Early Career Professorship in Physics
