Tackling Challenges

In a visit on the Tulane uptown campus, Michael Oher and his adoptive sister Collins Tuohy share how the Tuohy family's love, combined with his own hard work and dedication, propelled him from an impoverished childhood into professional sports. Oher, an offensive tackle for the Baltimore Ravens NFL team, is the subject of Michael Lewis' New York Times No. 1 best-seller The Blind Side, which became an award-winning movie. Now Oher is on a tour promoting his own book.

Michael Oher signs autographs and copies of his book, I Beat the Odds: From Homelessness to the Blind Side and Beyond, for students and fans after speaking in McAlister Auditorium on April 7.
