Students cross Freret Street at McAlister Place on a recent Monday morning. The familiar campus intersection is a shared memory for generations of Tulanians. Clothing styles have evolved and smart phones have appeared, but the corner has remained nearly unchanged since the completion of Stern Hall in 1971.
