A walk through campus is suddenly brightened by the appearance of black-eyed Susans.

Black-eyed Susans greet visitors to the Newcomb Pottery Garden in memory of Judith Henkin, dedicated in 2009 by the Glazer family to honor the artistic legacy of the Newcomb Pottery enterprise. The garden extends from the main entrance of Josephine Louise Residence Hall to Newcomb Place and includes several examples of the regional flora represented in Newcomb pottery.
