Investment executive E. Pierce Marshall Jr. joins Board of Tulane
E. Pierce Marshall Jr., president and chief executive officer of Ãâ°levage Capital Management, LLC, a Dallas-based investment management company, has joined the Board of Tulane, the university"s main governing body.
Marshall earned a bachelor in science management degree in 1990 from the A.B. Freeman School of Business at Tulane, where he was also a member of Zeta Psi fraternity. He went on to earn his juris doctor degree from Yale Law School in 1995. Marshall is a member of the Tulane Business School Council and the Paul Tulane Society, which honors Tulane benefactors whose wide-ranging generosity has advanced programs, professorships and projects across the university.
“Pierce is a model Tulane alumnus, who achieved greatness in his field and has always supported his community and his alma mater with his time, talent and philanthropy,” Tulane President Mike Fitts said.
In addition to serving as president and CEO of Ãâ°levage Capital Management, Marshall is also a vice president and general counsel of MarOpCo, Inc., a shared services company supporting the various enterprises and foundations operated by the Marshall family.
“Tulane played a pivotal role in providing the foundation for my professional life through the education I received there, as well as the incredible leadership opportunities in student organizations supported by the university,” Marshall said. “It is a great honor and joy to now have the opportunity to help shape this great university"s future as a member of the Board of Tulane.”
In addition to its generosity to Tulane, his family"s charitable organization, The Marshall Heritage Foundation, has supported Greenhill School in Dallas, MD Anderson Cancer Center and the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. Marshall lives with his wife, Kristen, in Dallas.
