New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Egan will discuss her latest novel The Candy House Wednesday, Nov. 15, as part of the Carole Barnette Boudreaux ’65 Great Writers Series. The Candy House, a companion to her Pulitzer Prize-winning A Visit From the Good Squad, was named one of the 10 Best Books of 2022 by The New York Times. Egan, an artist in residence in the English Department at the University of Pennsylvania, is also the author of Manhattan Beach, which received the Andrew Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Fiction and chosen as New York City’s One Book One New York read. Presented by the Tulane School of Liberal Arts (SLA), the lecture will take place at 6 p.m. at the Lake Residence Hall theater.
