The Cowen Institute received a $250,000 grant from the philanthropic foundation Carnegie Corporation of New York to transform groups of high school counselors, advisers and data managers of New Orleans into a citywide college attainment network, furthering the institute’s work in creating accessible and actionable research and programming for postsecondary pathways to success.

Tulane University Campus Programming (TUCP) Comedy will welcome actor and comedian Jay Pharoah to the Kendall Cram Lecture Hall at the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at 8 p.m. Pharoah, best known for his spot-on impressions, spent six seasons as a cast member on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” He has also acted and starred in several comedy films and has made numerous appearances in several television series.
