Marcilynn Burke, the current dean of law and Dave Frohnmayer Chair in Leadership and Law at the University of Oregon, has been named dean of Tulane Law School, effective Aug. 5. Burke specializes in property, land use and environmental and natural resources law, as well as other areas that are strategic priorities for Tulane’s law school.

Tulane Special Collections will celebrate its new exhibition, “Pages Unveiled: Journey Into the Book Beyond Text,” on Friday, March 15, with an opening reception from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second floor of Joseph Merrick Jones Hall on the uptown campus. The reception is free and open to the public. The exhibition, which will be on view through Friday, June 14, features more than 50 book objects ranging from c. 1300 to 2024 and aims to celebrate the overlooked physical elements of books.
