Tulane researchers, led by PhD student Kevin Reece, have developed a new method to study turbidity currents, or “underwater avalanches." The research can help with understanding how pollutants like microplastics are transported underwater and how hydrocarbon reservoirs, where oil and gas accumulate underground, form.

The Jules J. Paglin collection of OK Group records, a new collection of the Hogan Archive of New Orleans Music and New Orleans Jazz, contains materials related to the businesses and research of broadcasting pioneer Julius J. “Jules” Paglin, who was president of the OK Group in the 1950s and 60s. The group consisted of six southern AM radio stations geared to Black listeners. Read more on the Libraries website.
