New drug shows promise against deadly ricin toxin

A new study at the Tulane National Primate Research Center showed for the first time that an experimental drug can save nonhuman primates exposed to deadly ricin toxin, a potential bioterrorism agent.

Architecture faculty member honored by Joan Mitchell Foundation

Marianne Desmarais has been named an Artist-in-Residence at the Joan Mitchell Center in historic Treme. Selected artists are provided private studio space, a stipend, food, lodging and opportunities to participate in programs that engage with other creatives and the local community.
