Hans Desale, Tulane doctoral candidate in tropical medicine, was the Grand Prize winner at Tulane’s Three Minute Thesis competition in November. Desale, who presented on “Uncovering the Major Players in Chagas Disease Damage,” will represent Tulane at the Conference of Southern Graduate Schools regional competition in March. Freeman School of Business, comments on local chef Alon Shaya’s efforts to cook recipes that were preserved in a family recipe book of a Holocaust survivor. Force helped Shaya track down the recipe book at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum.
