Registration open for annual Wave of Green Day of Service

This year’s Wave of Green Day of Service will take place Thursday, April 9. The day is an opportunity for faculty and staff to make a difference in the community. Those who wish to participate must register by March 20.

Tulane monitoring COVID-19; issues guidance, travel policies

Tulane, following Department of State and CDC travel advisories, is restricting travel to countries with a CDC Level 3 travel advisory or a State Department Level 4 travel advisory. The university activated its COVID-19 Emergency Operations Team to prepare and take proactive steps in addressing this unfolding situation.

Panel to explore how New Orleans can weather rising flood risks

A panel discussion on water-related risks in New Orleans, “Water Ways: Dutch Lessons for a Changing Coast,” will be held on Wednesday, March 11, from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The discussion, presented by The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate and co-sponsored by the School of Architecture, is free.

Newcomb Dance Company: Light & Shadow

Tulane’s Department of Theatre and Dance will hold a performance by the Newcomb Dance Company called “Light & Shadow” March 6-8 at Dixon Hall. The performance features Tulane faculty and guest choreographic works in collaboration with Philip Sandstrom, New York City-based lighting designer. The performance will be held at 8 p.m. on March 6 and 7 and at 2 p.m. on March 8. General admission tickets are $5. For more information, click here.

Women Making Waves registration reminder

Registration for Women Making Waves, an annual women’s leadership conference hosted by the Tulane Office of Alumni Relations, closes today at 5 p.m. The conference will be held on Saturday, March 7, at the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life and The Commons from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The conference will feature panel discussions, networking opportunities and a keynote address by Gwen Thompkins, Newcomb College alumna and host of NPR’s Music Inside Out.
