The School of Liberal Arts will release a new podcast miniseries, Anti-Racism and the Disciplines, that explores the complex histories of liberal arts majors with the aim of identifying more accurate and effective practices in higher education. The Tulane community is invited to participate in Failure Tales, a storytelling event for attendees to drop the desire to be perfect and embrace failures. The goal of the event is to support students in developing a mindset that allows them to grow from failure as they navigate the challenges of a rigorous education and meaningful life. Students will hear from peers as well as professionals. The event will take place on Tuesday, March 21, from 7-9 p.m. in the 1834 Lounge of the Lavin-Bernick Center for University Life. AxoSim, a biotech startup company spun out of Tulane in 2014, has a new laboratory space at the New Orleans BioInnovation Center. The company has developed technology that simulates human nerves to provide an animal-free testing alternative that can help bring pharmaceutical drugs to market faster.
