Based on current COVID-19 trends, the Department of Health and Human Services is planning for the federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19 to expire at the end of the day on Thursday, May 11. At noon that day, the School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine will host a conversation around how we got here, what the end of this declaration means to the city, the state, and the nation, and the policies and programs that will end along with the declaration. This talk will be held in-person in the Diboll Auditorium and also livestreamed via Zoom.
