The Maurin Ogden Tulane Real Estate Fund has been established by Stirling Properties in partnership with Tulane and the International Council of Shopping Centers Foundation. It focuses on the academic and professional development of graduate students pursuing degrees in real estate or related fields enrolled in the A.B. Freeman School of Business and the School of Architecture.

The Jason Marsalis Quintet will perform “My Father’s Music” on Friday, June 12, at 6:30 p.m. with interviews by folklorist and Tulane professor Nick Spitzer. The event, Jason Marsalis’ first major performance of works by his father, Ellis Marsalis Jr., who passed away in April, will be streamed from the New Orleans Jazz National Historical Park’s Facebook page.

Medical students and healthcare professionals will stand in solidarity against social injustice at a peaceful protest today from noon to 1 p.m. on Tulane Avenue between the School of Medicine’s Hutchinson building and Tulane hospital. The school’s chaplain, Father William Terry, will offer prayers for justice and for those who continue to suffer as a result of racism. Participants will stand in silence in memory of victims of racial inequality. Those who plan to attend are asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing. Tulane Law School faculty will discuss reopening issues amid the COVID-19 pandemic in relation to the law school, the sports industry, cruise ships and artificial intelligence during a webinar titled “(Re)-Opening Industry, Society and the Economy: Legal and Ethical Concerns” today at 5 p.m. CT via Zoom.
