In 1993, Tulane Law School was the first law school in the country to offer a specialized certificate in sports law. Now led by Professor Gabe Feldman, the Tulane Sports Law Program has since attracted hundreds of students and cultivated alumni in top sports law positions. Teaching portfolios can often become a mess of information that is difficult to sift through. Toni Weiss, executive director of the Center for Engaged Learning and Teaching (CELT), will walk you through the steps of creating a well curated portfolio and a teaching philosophy statement that tells the best story of you as an educator. Tulane Law School’s annual recognition of Constitution Day will take place Monday, Sept. 18, with renowned lawyer David Hinojosa of the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law. Hinojosa, who will speak remotely at the event, is director of the Educational Opportunities Project at the Lawyers’ Committee, where he spearheads the organization’s systemic racial justice work.
